Peru participated once again in the prestigious Global Birdfair. This annual event takes place in the United Kingdom and attracts bird enthusiasts, conservationists, and industry leaders from around the world.
This year, the event was held at Rutland Showground from July 14th to 16th, where PROMPERÚ had the opportunity to showcase birding routes from the north, central, and southern regions of Peru. They also highlighted the diversity of regions such as San Martín, Cajamarca, Amazonas, Madre de Dios, Loreto, and Cusco. The Peruvian delegation was joined by APOTUR, APTAE, CANATUR, and CONAVE.
The event brought together approximately 300 exhibitors from all over the world. The fair also featured a wide variety of engaging live sessions organized by various professional birdwatchers. In this context, PROMPERÚ presented the seminar "Birds and people of Peru: An exploration of the interaction of birds and people in Peru" delivered by the speaker Rob Williams.
